A number of internal teams within Cheltenham Borough Council were consulted on this Local Lettings Plan and decision, including officers representing the ASB tenancy sustainment, empty homes and housing options teams respectively. In view of the evidence outlined around tenancy sustainment, ASB and lettings data, officers agreed to review and reinstate the Local Lettings Plan for Edward Wilson House. Following this consultation, officers engaged with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Customer Services who asked officers to explain the can you explain the exclusion criteria for those with special/specific needs. Officers explained that the Lettings Plan only excludes those with special needs where they have caused ASB, deterioration to their property, or are not accepting support. The Local Lettings Plan requires that CBC staff will take account of individual circumstances when making allocation decisions through the Local Lettings Plan. Following these assurances, the Cabinet Member was satisfied with the Local Lettings Plan as proposed.
