Discussions were held in March 2025 with internal CBC officers from the Properties and Communities, Housing Options, Lettings and Housing Enabling teams respectively to assess whether an extension or changes to the Local Lettings Plan was appropriate. In view of the positive progress being made through the Clear, Hold, Build Programme in this area, officers were in agreement that the Local Lettings Plan should be extended by another year, without any changes, to support the multi-agency approach being taken towards strengthening community cohesion in the Moors. Officers subsequently engaged with the Ward Members for St Peters, who collectively suggested that the normal duration of this LLP (one year) should be extended to five years in view of the longevity of the Clear, Hold, Build Programme and potential uncertainty created by any future Local Government Reform (LGR) proposals that could otherwise undermine community stability. After making these amendments, officers engaged with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Customer Services who supported the Local Lettings Plan and the suggestions made by the Ward Members for St Peters.
