Consultation process
A circular footpath around the playing field
has been supported by the community following masterplan
consultations over 7 years ago and we have been waiting for funding
opportunities to deliver it. The first phase focuses on high
priority and usage areas. The areas have become muddy due to park
run, an increase in dog walkers and other activities. The Friends
of King George V have secured funding for these sections of
footpath and fully support the project.
Finance Comments: As noted in the report, funds are in place to cover the projected costs using Community Infrastructure Levy neighbourhood grant and other revenue from the green space department.
