Consultation process
Consultation undertaken with Gloucestershire County Council regarding the impact on highways, under its appropriate powers under the Highways Act 1980. Planning was consulted to determine the need for planning permission.
Gloucestershire County Council grant Cheltenham Borough Council permission to carry out works and put items in the highway under its respective power under the Highways Act 1980. Works were granted to be undertaken under permitted development under Part 12 of The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) which allows local authorities to carry out works without requiring planning permission within the limitations set out in Part 12.
