One Legal and GO Shared Services Finance have advised on the legal and financial aspects of the decision.
Public and key stakeholder consultation indicated overwhelming support for the new crematorium. Specific consultation responses are available on the councils’ websites.

Consultation in respect of the construction of a new crematorium has previously been undertaken with the public, funeral directors, religious groups, ministers of religion and celebrants and other stakeholders.
Consultation has taken place on planning applications submitted to Tewkesbury Borough Council and Cheltenham Borough Council.
