Pesticide Free Cheltenham

We the undersigned petition the council to Develop a strategy that will see Glyphosate phased out across the entirety of Cheltenham and its surrounding areas in the next three years and commit to becoming a PAN UK pesticide free town.

Following the councils recent trial and subsequent move to reduce Glyphosate by 50%, we are looking for Cheltenham to develop a strategy and timeline to phase out the use of Glyphosate across Cheltenham and its surrounding areas.

We would welcome a commitment to the PAN UK national campaign to become a pesticide free town and look to CBC to establish and facilitate a stakeholder forum for key land managers and businesses to come together to work on going pesticide-free.

As part of the strategy we would also like to partner with CBC to campaign for residents to also go pesticide free including a pesticide amnesty for residents to return their old or obsolete home and garden pesticides.
