Purpose:

To review and publish Planning Pre-Application Fees, for implementation from 01 April 2025

Decision:

Following review of pre-application service and fees as part of the planning service improvement plan, thee updated fees are published on the council’s website.

Reasons for the decision:

To update pre-application fees following a review of the council’s pre-application service including benchmarking as part of the planning improvement plan.  A summary of update fees are provided below and are live on the council’s website.  A customer-facing document, setting out the council’s pre-application service, is in preparation and this will also shortly be published.

 

 

Alternative options considered:

To not amend fees.  Benchmarking has demonstrated that the previous Cheltenham pre-application fee schedule was not in line with other councils locally and further afield, nor reflective of the costs to the council in delivering the service.
