Local Developer Guide

To submit comments on behalf of the Local Planning Authority to Gloucestershire County Council in respect of a recent review of the Local Developer Guide.  This is a shared response with our partners Tewkesbury Borough and Gloucester City on behalf of the Strategic and Local Plan councils.  A copy of comments submitted is appended to this decision.

The purpose of the Local Development Guide is to provide information to local planning authorities, developers, and all stakeholders on the types of infrastructure where Gloucestershire County Council may seek funding to mitigate the impacts of the proposed development; to make it acceptable in planning terms. This is the second round of stakeholder engagement on the Local Development Guide following target engagement in 2024.

This latest stakeholder engagement ran from Wednesday 26 February until Monday 24 March 2025.

Comments have been submitted as once approved by Gloucestershire County Council the Local Developer Guide will be a material consideration in respect of planning applications.

To not provide any comments to the stakeholder engagement.  This was discounted as it is important that the local planning authorities review documents that may have implications on future decision making.

This is a joint response further to engagement across partner councils of the Strategic and Local Plan, undertaken through officer online meetings.
