Decision Maker: Director of Community & Economic Development - Tracey Birkinshaw
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
To agree the funding agreement with the
Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner whereby
a grant payment of £8,000 will be paid to the Council
to:
• Commission St Giles Trust to provide 5-day training and
consultation with senior leaders across key organisations,
councillors and wider partners to understand, identify and support
young people on the verge or already engaging in Organised Crime
Gang (OCG) activities. The training will upskill professionals and
provide greater resilience across multi agency partnerships by
helping individuals and groups in understanding, identifying and
supporting individuals at risk.
Reasons for the decision:
The Gloucestershire Office of the Police and
Crime Commissioner has been successful in securing Serious Violence
Duty funding from the Home Office. The funding has been allocated
to CBC to deliver the activity as set out above.
