Decision Maker: Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Culture, Tourism & Wellbeing
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: Yes
Decision:
To make part of the current contract for services between Cheltenham Borough Council and the Cheltenham Trust, known as the specification publicly available.
Reasons for the decision:
Cabinet on 5 April 2022 agreed a new specification that forms part of the contract for services between Cheltenham Borough Council and the Cheltenham Trust. Both the report and the specification were classed as restricted.
At Cabinet on 8 November, a public questions was submitted requesting that the council undertake to review the documentation relating to the 5 April decision with a view to making as much of the information as possible public in the interests of transparency.
In his response, Cllr Max Wilkinson, Cabinet Member Economic Development, Culture, Tourism and Wellbeing committed to placing the current specification (as agreed by Cabinet on 5 April) in the public domain.
This would be achieved via a delegated cabinet member decision and as such it will be published on the council’s democracy pages as a decision and to be completed by Friday 18 November.
