Decision:
For Cheltenham Borough Council to enter into contract with Locata for the provision of essential software to support the delivery of Gloucestershire Homeseeker’s Allocations Scheme.
Reasons for the decision:
Cheltenham Borough Council, along with the other five districts within Gloucestershire, has a contract with Abritas to provide a software and software support service to enable the delivery of Gloucestershire Homeseeker’s Allocation Scheme.
The contract expires in September 2016 and it has been necessary to retender this contract.
A panel was made up of representatives from each of the Districts across Gloucestershire to assess the submissions.
The retendering exercise has now been completed, with Locata emerging as the preferred
provider.
The decision to enter into this contract will provide a saving to
this Authority of approximately £6,000/ year, although
£2,000/year of this will be used to support the provision of
a reserves fund held by the Gloucestershire Homeseeker’s Local Authority lead, Forest of
Dean District Council. This reserves fund will be used for software
upgrades etc, as agreed by
Gloucestershire Homeseeker Management
Board, and of which Cheltenham Borough Council is a
partner.
