Decision:

To make the following nominations to outside bodies:

Councillor Iain Dobie to Sandford Parks Lido

Councillor Martin Horwood to Friends of Leckhampton Hill (FOLK)

Reasons for the decision:

Following his appointment as Cabinet Member, Councillor Paul Baker stepped down from his role on Sandford Parks Lido and FOLK.

According to the Council’s constitution, persons may be nominated/appointed by the Leader if there is a consensus amongst the Group Leaders. Group Leaders were consulted on 16 June 2025.

Group Leaders have confirmed their agreement to the nominations.

Alternative options considered:

To not nominate. This was rejected as Councillor representation is required on these bodies.
