Decision:
To agree the funding agreement with the
Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC)
whereby a grant payment of £22,000 will be paid to the
Council to support the construction of the Petersfield Community
and Sports Hub.
Reasons for the decision:
The council had successfully secured funding
from the OPCC to carry out two community-based projects (the values
of this are outlined in the finance section of this decision). The
council was unable to find a suitable delivery partner for one of
the projects, whilst the other project was successfully delivered
but not fully spent. In total £22k was left remaining.
Following a discussion with the OPCC, it has been agreed that the
£22k can be re-directed to supporting the Petersfield
Community and Sports Hub in recognition of the contribution that
the building will make to reducing crime and disorder risks in the
local community.
