specialist TAX and VAT advice on the transition of housing services
from CBH to CBC and the associated transfer of assets and winding
up of the company.

The council is required to obtain specialist
advice as part of its due diligence.

but would fail to conduct appropriate level of due diligence,
resulting in poor governance.
Finance Comments: This work is necessary as part of the due diligence on the winding up of CBH and transfer of assets to the HRA. The cost of the work will be re-charged to the HRA as part of the programme to transition the Council’s housing services in-house.
