In respect of an offer of £6,000 from
The Gloucestershire Office of the Police and Crime
Commissioner:
• To authorise the Director of Community & Economic
Development to agree the funding agreement with the Gloucestershire
Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner whereby a grant payment
of £6,000 will be paid to the Council • The grant will
enable the Council to support intensive detached youth work
engaging young people aged 11+ linked with the Moors area of
Cheltenham for a 12 month period.
Reasons for the decision:
The Gloucestershire Office of the Police and
Crime Commissioner has been successful in securing Safer Streets 5
funding from the Home Office.
The funding has been allocated to CBC to deliver the
following:
Intensive detached youth work engaging young people aged 11+ linked
with the Moors area of Cheltenham for a 12 month period. MAPS
(Multi-Agency Problem Solving) Forum have identified this area as a
high priority. This group consists of key stakeholders who all
support this proposal of intervention.

Planning March 2024 Soft Launch of the youth work to commence
Payment details: Q2 (January 2024 to March 2024) = £6,000 To
be spent by March 2024.
