Decision:

To submit comments on behalf of Cheltenham Borough Council in relation to additional targeted consultation for the proposed M5 Junction 10 Improvement Scheme, including the Statement of Common Ground.

This decision supplements those previously made on the full consultation of the M5 Junction 10 Improvement Scheme proposed by Gloucestershire County Council and provides a holding response in advance of further technical specialist advice being made available to the council to support the next stage of the project.

Due to the cross boundary nature of the scheme, comments have been prepared in collaboration with Tewkesbury Borough Council and a joint response submitted.

Reasons for the decision:

To ensure Cheltenham Borough Council, as a statutory consultee of the scheme, has the opportunity to input on the detail as proposed, inputting across our technical specialists and ensuring that our priorities are taken into account

Alternative options considered:

N/A

Wards Affected: (All Wards);

Other reasons / organisations consulted

The response recognises the high-level assessment at this stage and that at the next stage we will be reviewing the Statement of Common Ground as a whole in advance of preparation to a future examination in public.
