Reasons for the decision:

As detailed in the Council report to Full Council in respect of the Organisational Review, it was recommended that resources are realigned to our priorities. Whilst we recruit to the role of construction manager, specialist support is required to undertake the CBC Client Role for the MX programme.

Alternative options considered:

Specialist support is required to ensure the construction and design of MX meet the high expectations expected by the Council. The Executive Leadership Team have discussed the proposals and support the appointed of RPA for a fixed period with a capped fee of £4k per month.
