To accept a grant of £2000 from The Leche Trust for the repair of Listed Grade II tomb (ref. 282) situated in the grounds of Cheltenham Minster.
Reasons for the decision:
As part of the redevelopment of the grounds of Cheltenham Minster the council is aiming to restore monuments that are in poor condition but need to generate funding to do this.
Alternative options considered:
Attempt to trace the family of the ancestor buried in the tomb and secure funding from them. This would be very resource-heavy without any guarantee of success.
