Decision:

To award a contract to Octane Holdings Group Ltd. for the supply and

installation of re-fuelling equipment (HVO fuel tank) at Swindon Road,

Cheltenham, GL51 9JZ in the sum of £46,328.25 plus VAT.

(This figure is inclusive of a price increase on the fuel pumps, since the tender

closure. This has been noted on the tender documentation).

Also to award a contract to Gardiners for the groundworks for the above

installation in the sum of £9,756.24 plus VAT

Total cost is £56,084.49 plus vat

Reasons for the decision:

Cabinet on the 30th November 2021 approved the purchase and installation

of a new fuel tank at the Swindon Road depot to facilitate the change to HVO

from Diesel for the Ubico fleet, at an estimated cost of £55k, from the climate

change capital budget. This is to support carbon reduction

Alternative options considered:

Officers have considered whether the carbon reduction could be delivered

cost effectively in the short term without this equipment and concluded that it

could not
