Award a contract to RF Gardiner Limited to carry out roofing works to the Pittville Pump Room Balcony roof.
Reasons for the decision:
In order to stop water ingress issues that have resulted from a defective roof covering. As the works are roofing works they need to be completed before poor weather sets in. A waiver has been approved to award the contract to the contractor without prior competition due to the urgency of the matter.
Alternative options considered:
To go down the usual CBC tendering/ procurement route which will cause delays, resulting in the work not being possible.
