To amend the Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme
Reasons for the decision:
NHS Test and Trace provided local authorities with funding for a Discretionary Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme in addition to the national scheme.
On 13 October 2020 Cabinet approved the Discretionary Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme and authorised the Cabinet Member Finance and Assets to make changes to ensure the successful operation on the scheme.
To improve take up and incentivise people to self-isolate the following changes are being made
• Remove the £3,000 savings and capital which prevents people above this from qualifying
• Remove the requirement to take partner’s income in to account when considering household income
