Decision:
To enter into a service agreement with Charlton Kings Parish Council for the
spending of National Grid money on Leckhampton Hill and Ravensgate
Common
Reasons for the decision:
Cheltenham Borough Council (CBC) and Charlton Kings Parish Council
(CKPC) have been awarded a grant of £174,776 (via the Cotswold AoNB)
from the National Grid Landscape Enhancement initiative for the restoration
of Cheltenham’s Cotswolds Escarpment grassland. For CBC this is
Leckhampton Hill, and CKPC Ravensgate Common.
CKPC, as the lead applicant, will hold the funds, issue works orders to
contractors and pay invoices across both sites, and CBC will organise and
supervise the works. A service agreement is required between CBC and
CKPC to formalise this arrangement.
