Decision:

To award the contract for, Supply and install New Lighting Columns, Lamps, Trenching and new power supply to lighting columns – Edinburgh Place, High Street and Bath Parade Car Parks in Cheltenhamto CBC to the Ardagh Management Ltd. following the tender and evaluation process undertaken.

Reasons for the decision:

The works at Edinburgh Place Car park were identified in the planned Preventative Maintenance Program as agreed by the Council in their budget report cycle. The Works to Bath Terrace and High Street car parks were identified by the Car Parking department as required for Health and Safety reasons and funded form their car park improvement program. An open tendering process in line with the Constitution was undertaken and the returns evaluated. This process returned the contractor Ardagh Management Ltd. as the best value submission with a tender sum of £147,696.00.                              

Alternative options considered:

Not to procure the works – rejected as the works are required for the safe continuing use of the assets.
