Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Reasons for the decision:

A Local Lettings Plan was put in place in the St Pauls area in 2015 to support phase 2 of the regeneration of the area, to maintain low levels of Anti-Social Behaviour and crime in the area and to improve the sense of community and the sustainability of tenancies.

However following a recent review, evidence and data shows that the plan has now successfully met its aims and objectives with the creation of a strong and sustainable community.

The St Paul’s area now has a low number of relets and low levels of Anti-Social Behaviour and the data no longer supports the need for a Local Lettings Plan to still be in place within the St Pauls area.

Alternative options considered:

To continue with the Local Lettings Plan - however for the reasons listed above it is

felt that this is no longer required in this area.

Other reasons / organisations consulted

Removal of the LLP has been made in agreement with key officers from within Cheltenham Borough Homes and in conjunction with Councillor Peter Jeffries - Cabinet member for Housing.
