To award a contract to Jane Monckton-Smith to act as an independent chair for a domestic homicide review.

Reasons for the decision:

The council requires the services of an independent chair to carry out a domestic homicide review. The chair will be responsible for managing and coordinating the review process and for producing the final overview report based on a detailed analysis of agencies’ involvement in the case.

 

A brief was developed and circulated to interested parties.

 

Four quotations were received and after careful consideration,  the sourcing team felt that Jane Monckton-Smith was a good fit, had sound methodology, had the relevant experience and was able to meet the timescales required. Her quotation was also the lowest priced.
