To award the contract for the provision of mobile voice and data services to Vodafone using Crown Commercial Services Framework Agreement RM1045.
Reasons for the decision:
This contract offers more favourable financial terms than the previous contract and will deliver a cost saving for the Council. It also improves the package for each mobile phone user.
Alternative options considered:
Alternative options were not considered. Procurement was undertaken through Crown Commercial Services Framework Agreement RM 1045, which ensures competitive pricing and allows for direct award to a supplier.

The proposed package meets the business requirement. Legal services did not find any reason why the council should not award the contract through the framework agreement.
