Decision:

To award two separate contracts to APT Marketing & PR for:

 

  • A retained marketing agency to support tourism marketing in Cheltenham
  • The delivery of tourism membership development services

Reasons for the decision:

Two separate procurements were undertaken, which were run concurrently.  APT Marketing & PR applied for both roles and came out top in the evaluation for each of the roles.

Alternative options considered:

A procurement evaluation process was undertaken, which considered the quality of the submissions of other bidders. 

Other reasons / organisations consulted

Consultation was not undertaken in relation to the procurement of these roles, but Cabinet approved the strategy and action plan on 11 July 2017. This included the establishment of an interim marketing service, with which these roles are associated.
