Elections on a four year cycle
We the undersigned petition the council to change the election schedule for the borough council so that elections are held only every four years.
At present an election is held every two years in each ward. This is a bad idea for two reasons.
First, it is an expensive waste of money.
Second, it distracts councillors from their deliberations onto campaigning.
