To allocate a total of £241,941 currently unallocated MHCLG homelessness prevention funding as follows:
1. £166,941 to Cheltenham Borough Homes’ Housing Options Service for the period 2021/22;
2. £49,000 towards the costs of Cheltenham Borough Council’s Housing Strategy & Enabling Officer post for a further 2 years from April 2021;
3. £26,000 to support the provision of intensive housing support services for rough sleepers with complex needs living in independent housing, for a period of 12 months from April 2021.

Decision:
NHS Test and Trace provided funding for a national “Standard” Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme and a Discretionary scheme, both to be in place between 12 October 2020 and 31 January 2021.
On 13 October 2020 Cabinet approved the Discretionary Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme and authorised the Cabinet Member Finance and Assets, to extend the scheme beyond 31 January 2021, in line with Government direction and subject to funding being available.
Confirmation has been received from NHS Test and Trace that both schemes will be extended to 31 March 2021. Additional funding has been made available for the discretionary scheme and will be provided for the standard scheme as required.
