Extension of contract of interim Head of Planning via Holmesplanning

Services Ltd until end October 2021.

To provide service delivery to the councils regulatory planning function and

facilitate the continued secondment of Head of Planning to support corporate

priorities outside the planning team on a temporary basis.

1. To not extend contract – Resource is needed to support the activities

of the planning team and ensure we deliver planning applications in a

timely and efficient manner. Current application levels are high and

to not provide support at the head of planning level would likely lead

to a drop in performance and would impact on capacity across the

team.

2. To appoint through a different recruitment agency – the extension to

the current contract provides consistency at a time when planning

applications are at a recorded high and there is pressure across the

service
