Purpose:
To accept an initial donation of £5,000 and further donations up to the full value of restoration from the Friends of Pittville (FoP) to be used by CBC to restore, the Steps, Gate and Railings, identified in the FoP CBC Funding Agreement.
Should further donations not be received this decision and the supporting Funding Agreement places no obligation on the Council to undertake further works outside those agreed for payment by the initial donation.
Reasons for the decision:
Donation to be used to fund the Steps, Gate and Railings project work. No additional funding is required from CBC, however CBC will engage with external contractors to complete the work and professional support will be provided by council employees:

All decisions on specification and procurement will reside with the Council and once works completed, the infrastructure will be the property of the Council. Existing Green spaces budget is available for longer-term maintenance; this is anticipated to be negligible.
