Decision:

To enter into a funding agreement with Enovert Community Trust to secure funding for the supply and installation of railings around perennial beds in Winston Churchill memorial gardens.

Total grant from Enovert is £11k. The decision needs to be made and entered into to enable the project to start on 28th February 2022 and must be completed on or before 31 July 2022.

Reasons for the decision:

The value of the grant and agreement is over £10k.

Alternative options considered:

The alternative is not to have railings and run the risk of the planting not succeeding.

The alternative was for the Friends group to enter into an agreement with Enovert for this funding. This was rejected as the group does not have the appropriate level of insurance or security to enter into this agreement.
