Decision:
To apply for a grant of £435,000 to the Football Foundation. If successful, the council will be required, through One Legal, to enter into an agreement with the funding provider. If successful, further decision making will be required in line with the consultation.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council is refurbishing it’s Burrows Playing Field and Pavilion. The site is recognised in the Cheltenham Football Facilities Plan as a priority playing field requiring improvements, and is therefore eligible to receive funds from the Football Foundation.
Other reasons / organisations consulted
One Legal. If successful, the Council may be required to enter into a legal charge or restriction of title as a form of security over the investment into the project. This will be further assessed should the application be successful.
